
More than 500 people were evacuated from the site of a Derbyshire music festival last night after an overhead power line snapped and landed in a field.
Just after midnight police and fire crews were called in to Coney Grey Farm in Pentrich site of the Rock and Blues Festival.
Festival go-ers were forced to shelter in a nearby entertainment tent while the area was made safe.
Weston Power have taken steps to earth the lines and remove the cables.
The Rock and Blue Festival is set to attract crowds of over 3,000 over the course of the weekend
