Ashover crash claims second life

A second teenager involved in a serious collision on the A632 Matlock Road, at Kelstedge has died.

Liam Chapman, 16, from Clay Cross, was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre following the collision on Thursday, September 20 suffering serious injuries. He died in hospital yesterday (Wednesday, September 26).

 

Connor Short, also 16-years-old and from Ashover, was treated for serious injuries but died in Chesterfield Royal Hospital shortly after the collision.

 

Both victims were passengers in a Peugeot 206 that was in collision with a Vauxhall Corsa.

 

The driver of the Peugeot was also taken to Queen’s Medical Centre suffering multiple fractures.

 

The two occupants of the Corsa suffered minor injuries.
