England Under 21's beat Norway Under 21's 1-0 at Chesterfield's Proact Stadium last night.
Sunderland striker Connor Wickham grabbed the only goal of the game to secure England's top spot in their qualifying group for the 2013 European Championships.
It was the first time an international fixture has taken place in Chesterfield and the full house at Whittington Moor were treated to a look at the next generation of England Internationals with the likes of Liverpool's Jordan Henderson on show.
Havard Neilsen almost spoiled the party for the young lions but his effort came back off the bar and fell to safety.
