The number of people that visit Chesterfield town centre this weekend will be counted as part of the town's health check.
From Saturday 6th to Tuesday 9th of October CCTV cameras on high masts will be in the town centre to measure the movements of pedestrians.
The council are using the footage to get a better impression of who uses the area in a similar experiment to one that was carried out in April of this year.
It will cover around 15 sites across the town from Elder Way to Stevenson Place down to the Ravenside Retail Park.
The survey is being funded externally by the European Regional Development Fund.
