Council targeting North Derbyshire poachers
Chesterfield Borough Council are now monitoring Westwood after Peak Fm informed them about possible snares.
A number of the traps were recovered in the council owned land at Inkersall after a dog was caught in one.
The area in question was on the path that connects Shinwell Avenue and Bevan Drive where around 4 of the snares were found by a member of the public.
The council says the park ranger service are now monitoring the woods & that they do not permit snares on their land.
