Derbyshire Fire and Rescue continues the campaign for sprinklers
Derbyshire Fire and Rescue service has welcomed the support it has received from councillors as it continues the campaign to get sprinklers installed in all new build homes.
The organisation has called for legislation to be passed to make it compulsary across the country similar to measures put in place by the Welsh Assembly that could see sprinklers required in all new homes in Wales by April 2013.
The campaign has received more support after the recent high profile fires in both Hulland Ward and Derby.
