Derbyshire host world class tourists

Australia A visit the County Ground for a 3 day match which could feature as many as 9 full internationals.

Former number 1 ranked bowler in the world Mitchell Johnson is included in the squad along with established One Day Internationals Tim Paine and Steve Smith and the up and coming talent of Peter Forrest and Mitchell Starc.

It's a chance for the Australians to start to stake a claim for a 2013 Ashes place and also for Derbyshire's players to find form ahead of the LV County Championship run in.

They currently sit on top of Division 2 with a couple of months of the season to go and will be looking for an excellent finish to the season to cement a promotion place come the end of the campaign.
