Derbyshire man to be sentenced after dogs were left to starve

A Chinley man will be sentenced today after two dogs were abandoned at a house in Furness Vale leading to one dying of starvation.

Shane Potts admitted causing unnecessary suffering to the two Jack Russells.

One of them, a female called Nala starved to death & the other a male called Simba stayed alive by eating her remains.

Its thought Potts was struggling to manage his responsibilities - he'll appear before Chesterfield Magistrates Court for sentencing.
