Derbyshire Police appeal for information on Assault

Police in Chesterfield are appealing for witnesses after a teenage boy was assaulted and had his wallet stolen.

On Monday evening at around 6pm a 17-year-old boy was leaving Chesterfield college along a footpath at the end of Infirmary Road when he was approached by two youths.

They asked to borrow the victim's phone and when he refused he was head butted and fell to the floor.

He was then pinned down and had his wallet stolen from his coat pocket.

The attackers are described as white and in their late teens - anyone with information should contact police.
