Ben Wilson playing for Sunderland during the pre-season friendly match between York City and Sunderland Chesterfield have extended keeper Ben Wilson’s spell on loan from Sunderland.
Wilson, who was signed last month following an injury to first-choice stopper Tommy Lee, will remain with the Spireites for another couple of weeks. He will be available for selection up to and including Saturday, October 27.
Wilson, 20, has featured for the reserves and acted as understudy to Richard O’Donnell since arriving at the Proact Stadium.
It is hoped that the end of Wilson’s stay will coincide with the return of Lee, who has missed the last nine games after suffering a shoulder injury.
