Major development in the pipline for Derbyshire

The site of the former American Adventure theme park could be set to be developed into housing, offices and leisure facilities.

Derbyshire County Council who own the park in Shipley which closed down in 2007 have had planning permission approved for the development.

The only concerns put forward from local authorities is the impact that housing would have on the area's surroundings.
