South Yorkshire Police are appealing for information after a pedestrian suffered life threatening head injuries after colliding with a bus on Furnival Gate at the junction with Matilda Way in Sheffield.
On Thursday, 19 July, at approximately 4.20pm, the single decker bus was travelling along Furnival Gate in the direction of Charter Row.
Officers understand that the 40-year-old man had been walking along the pavement and unexpectedly stepped into the road and collided with the front of the bus.
The man was transported the Sheffield Hallamshire Hospital where his condition is reported to be critical.
Anyone who witnessed the man in the area prior to, or at the time of the collision is urged to call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 724 of Thursday, 19 July.
