Police appeal for woman to come forward

Monday, October 29th 2012 00:00

Derbyshire Police are urging a pensioner who was last seen in Creswell on Friday to contact them, as they are concerned for her safety.

The woman, believed to be in her seventies, stopped a man at around 11.30pm on Friday on Colliery Road and asked for a lift to Mansfield.

When he declined, she said she would walk across the train tracks to get there.

She was described as white, slim, approximately 5'7" tall with long black hair.

Derbyshire Police would like her to contact them on the non-emergency 101 number to confirm she is safe and well.
