Remploy workers strike in Chesterfield & Sheffield
Remploy workers in Chesterfield & Sheffield have joined picket lines at their factory this morning.
It's over Governments plans to close a number of sites, which would result in 1,700 workers losing their jobs, most of whom are disabled. Unite and the GMB unions are organising the 24 hour protests against the planned closure of 27 factories by the end of the year, with a further 18 due to close or be sold off next year.
