A campaign group is growing support against plans to build around 500 new homes on green belt land in Alfreton.
The Amber Valley SOS group argue that there are plenty of homes still empty and that more consideration should be made to make sure they are filled up.
They also argue that a large area of brownfield land that can still be developed before the greenbelt should be touched.
The next consultation meeting between developers and the public will take place on the 19th of October at 3pm until 7 at the Mansfield Road Community Hall.
