Spireites in talks with Cook

Thursday, October 25th 2012 01:00

Chesterfield and Accrington Stanley have agreed a compensation package which could pave the way for Paul Cook to take over as manager.

The Spireites have been without a full time boss since the departure of John Sheridan in August. Since then Tommy Wright has been in caretaker charge of the club.

Cook comes as somewhat of a surprise choice with other candidates including Brian Laws, Paul Ince and Alfreton Town boss Nicky Law appearing to have shorter odds.
