Spireites slip to away defeat
Goals from Gary MacDonald and Lewis Alessandra gave Morecambe the points as they beat Chesterfield 2-0 last night at the Globe Arena.
The Spireites conceded right on the stroke of half time to Macdonald's strike before Alessanda made the game safe in the second half to end Chesterfield's unbeaten run.
Before that it had stretched to 8 games with their only previous loss coming on the opening Saturday of the season away at AFC Wimbledon.
Next up for Tommy Wright's men is a trip to Aldershot Town who remarkably surrendered a 3 goal lead to lose 4-3 against Torquay United last night with Rene Howe adding the winner to his goal against Chesterfield last weekend.
