Warning about expensive doorstep fish selling scam
Derbyshire residents are being told not to get drawn into an expensive scam by doorstep sellers offering what appears to be discount fish.
Often elderly and vulnerable people are targeted being told they're selling it cheaper than local supermarkets. Eventually victims are left with a bill which can run up to hundreds of pounds and a large amount of unwanted fish. Victims believe that they are buying a small amount of fish but in reality end up being responsible for paying for a huge quantity, the like of which would only normally be bought by large restaurants.
