World War II bomb found in Sheffield.

Thursday, July 26th 2012 15:00

An unexploded world war two bomb was found in Sheffield's Owlerton Stadium by workmen digging up an area of the ground.

It was driven across the city without being properly identified before the army were called in to carry out a controlled explosion.

It's not know how the item, believed to have been produced around 1940 came to be in the Stadium which is used for both speedway and greyhound racing.
