During Becky’s initial consultation she completed a questionnaire called a PAR-Q (Pre Activity Readiness Questionnaire) this focused on her medical and exercise history. This session also included a Bodystat, this measures Body Fat %, Body Fat weight, Lean Weight, Water %, Total Body Water and Body Mass Index.

Becky’s measurements are as follows;
Chest = 38 inches Waist = 32 inches Hips = 37 inches
Becky did the Rockport Fitness Walk Test; this is a 1-mile walk at near maximal effort. This test calculates Becky’s fitness level through an equation based on her age, weight, exercise time and heart rate on completion of the test. Becky achieved a ‘34’ which for her age group scores her a ‘Below Average’
The second test Becky completed was a strength test, this included a 1 minute period to do as many press ups as she could manage. Of the three different press-up options Becky chose the easiest one, the box press up and achieved a score of 22 in one minute. The second part of this strength test was the sit up test; Becky achieved 31 sit-ups in one minute.
The third test was the flexibility test, this measures trunk flexion using the sit and reach test. Becky scored an average of 13 inches which scored her a ‘Very poor’
Finally the stress test, this is a series of questions aimed at creating a profile of the client each question is scored 1-4 and the total is added up to give a stress level score. Becky’s score was 67, this showed that Becky has a reasonably safe level of stress, but some areas need improvement.
Becky has agreed with Seb (Personal Trainer)
Do at least 2 sessions per week gym based and try 1 class off the timetable, this will be agreed on a week-to-week basis
To increase her water percentage and total body water litres over next 4 weeks.
